I have been DYING to open this since I received it. Since having our littles, born in 2015 and 2017 respectively, date nights have become a BIG DEAL. We have awesome family members right here in Maryland who we trust with our boys and love them ( Shout out to The Littlejohns).

We have been together since 2011, we met through mutual friends on Facebook and it kind of just came to fruition after a good year or so of being friends. We finally married in October of 2013 and we moved to Maryland. Date nights included drinks, late nights, movies, dinners and all that jazz.

Now, almost 5 years later – it most likely includes a shirt with spit up, a toddler who has cars ALL OVER THE PLACE and two barking dogs while we try to watch “our shows.” And by that... I mean they rarely exist. That’s parenthood at its finest!

So Date Night in A Box came at the perfect time, much needed and beyond appreciated.

So what is it?

Date Night In is a monthly subscription box that delivers a unique date from 1st step to the last step – meaning you plan nothing but who is watching your littles and when. Amazing right?

You can choose how long you want to subscribe for! You can do three months, six months and 12 months! If you just want to try it out first, you can do month – to – month boxes! The more you subscribe for, the less you pay and trust me when I tell you -  this is where it’s at! Why? Well, you don’t have to plan, don’t have to purchase anything, you have a menu, activities, and fun all in an awesome box meant to provide you with giggles, time well spent + memories! All from anywhere between $30-$35 per date! I mean, really? It's a GOLDEN TICKET.

The Story of Us.
What you don't see: our dinner - why? Because delicious.
We were instructed to follow through with a scavenger hunt and photograph it! We had some serious giggles through this because well, as you can see - our littles were in the house with us. Do you know how hard it is to go on a scavenger hunt when your youngest wants to eat + your oldest is having a train meltdown?

We were given a playlist for music; which was SPOT ON!
A meal to cook together; which went surprisingly well with both of us in the kitchen!
The Story of Us Scavenger Hunt; SO much fun!
Oreo Pops; so fun, so yummy - HITS THE SPOT! [ see below ]
And, lastly, we got to recreate our story.
Creating the number of years we've been together using objects in our house
Yes, that is Lucas sleeping next to us - :) We did this during bedtime!
Our dessert was to melt our candy melts + make oreo pops! Uh. YUM.
Even though I CLEARLY not photo ready - peep how much fun it was! Lol.

We were instructed to dance to our song "Everything I do, I do it for You" by Bryan Adams
- which I have to admit, brings tears to your eyes if you end up including your children. JUST SAYING.

We haven't printed our pictures yet BUT I am DYING to get that done!
Stay tuned for it because they are BOUND to be hilarious.
ps | I totally lost at Rock Paper Scissors

One of my favorite pictures. ♡

Besides dancing to our song - we had to pinky promise & seal on our future plans.
It was so awesome seeing how we were able to put it on paper.

Long blog post, short. We absolutely loved it - from the lights dimmed while eating dinner while music played in the background, to the fun scavenger hunt, to delicious oreo pops in our kitchen. We had the best night we've had in a while - all while remembering what brought us here today.
We are SO excited for our next one - and the best part? We can do Date Nights In, Family Nights In, Faith Nights In, Kids Nights In - we are literally SET.
