31 Day Happiness Challenge

At the end of the day, the most important thing is to learn to be content with the life you have. Happiness doesn’t have to be something you daydream about and being content is actually pretty simple. I’ve created this 31 Day Happiness Challenge to make you feel more uplifted, cheerful, and learn what makes you truly happy in life. There’s a new challenge day to help you become a happier person by the end of the month! I think this is the PERFECT time to do it and make the last 31 days of 2018 purposeful and fullfilling? Are you joining me?


Day 1:
Start a gratitude journal today and write down something you’re grateful for each day of our challenge!


Day 2:
It’s time to get moving! Sign up for a class, renew your gym membership, or even try some at home workouts to get your blood moving.


Day 3:
Prepare your meals for the week. This can be all three meals or just one meal each day. By having your meals taken care of, you can spend more time doing the things you love.


Day 4:
Go through your clothes today and get rid of any that don’t make you feel beautiful and any that you don’t love. Life is too short for ugly clothes.


Day 5:
Treat yo’self today to something that you love. It doesn’t have to cost money and can be something as simple as taking a bubble bath.


Day 6:
Spend some time today doing leisurely reading. Pick up that book you’ve been meaning to get to, and get started!


Day 7:
Take some time today to spend with the people you love. Have a coffee with a friend or go out to dinner with your spouse. You can even take your kids to the movies if you want, just surround yourself with people today.


Day 8:
Make yourself laugh today. Watch a funny movie, TV show, or a YouTube video, but whatever you do, find a way to laugh out loud today.


Day 9:
Take the day off today! Play hooky from work if you’re able to, or just enjoy the evening doing nothing whatsoever.


Day 10:
Take some time to reflect today. Think about the things that make you happy, and make a list if you need to. Whenever you are feeling down, refer to this list.


Day 11:
Go out with your friends tonight! Put on your little black dress and have an evening with the girlfriends tonight.


Day 12:
Take a walk today. It doesn’t have to be somewhere far, and if it’s raining put on some rainboots! Walking in the rain can still be just as fun.


Day 13:
Do something kind for someone else today. Pay for someone’s meal, leave a big tip at the restaurant, or volunteer today. Look for a chance to help someone in a big way today.


Day 14:
Ask yourself what is weighing on your mind today? Do a brain dump and unload some of those thoughts floating around your head today.


Day 15:
Do something because it’s what you enjoy doing today! When was the last time you picked up a coloring book, played a video game, or even a board game? Take some time today and enjoy the nostalgia.


Day 16:
Call a distant friend or family member today. You don’t have to call with a purpose, just call and talk to them.


Day 17:
Get those things that have been lingering on your to-do list done today! Stop procrastinating and get those areas that you’ve been meaning to get to done.


Day 18:
Clean up your space today. Take the time to give your home some love by cleaning it. Not only will you have a clean home, but a fresh space to live in.


Day 19:
Open the windows today, and if it’s cold, consider opening them just for a little while. Let in the fresh air and let your home breathe.


Day 20:
Pamper yourself today! Whether it’s just painting your nails or having a whole spa day at home, do something to pamper yourself today.


Day 21:
Get outside today. Even if it’s just for 10 minutes on your lunch break, go outside and enjoy the sun on your face and the fresh air.


Day 22:
Even if you have nowhere to be today, get dolled up. Do your hair, makeup, and put on your favorite outfit today.


Day 23:
Today focus on all of your favorite things. Pick a few of your favorites and indulge! Perhaps it’s watching your favorite movie or creating your favorite dish at home.


Day 24:
Step outside of your comfort zone today. This could be trying a new class or just talking to someone at the park while you’re on a walk.


Day 25:
Listen to an audiobook or read a book you might not normally be interested in. This is not only a good way to expand your horizons, but also help you step outside of your comfort zone.


Day 26:
Learn something new today! It doesn’t have to be something practical either, knowing how to make quiche can still be fun even if you never have a reason to use this skill.


Day 27:
Take time for yourself today. Unplug from the outside world for a while and induldge in some me time.indulge


Day 28:
Focus on meditation today. Do some yoga or just some light meditation and learn to relax your mind and your body.


Day 29:
Take a day trip! You can do this solo, with your spouse, or with friends. Go somewhere new you’ve never been before and explore.


Day 30:
Play with your pet today. If you don’t have one, visit a local pet shelter and play with their animals.


Day 31:
Raise your glass! You’ve made it to the end! Enjoy that special beverage or glass of wine. You’ve earned it.


Happiness isn’t always easy, but by the end of this challenge, your mood should be greatly improved and you can start living the life you want to live.
